The Innovative Research, Ideas and Services Corporation (IRIS) is a small business owned by its shareholder founders. Its corporate office is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. IRIS was established in 1991 for the purpose of exploiting the science and technology of airborne remote sensing for practical use by all of society. The IRIS mission is to deliver the highest quality products while maintaining corporate integrity and the highest ethical standards.

IRIS Principals have over 60 years of direct experience in the research, design, development and application of airborne remote sensing with a specialization in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). IRIS is the inventor of Transducer Markup Language (TML), a sensor fusion software.

IRIS maintains and has possession of multiple UPD-8 radar systems formerly used in the Open Skies Treaty Verfications effort until program cancelation immediately after 9/11. IRIS is also under Air Force contract to act as their engineers and representative in developing NATO's Tactical Reconnaissance Interoperability Architecture.
